Terms of Service

Effective date: July 15, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of TrendMark (“the Service”), available at trendmark.dev. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

TrendMark is a bookmark manager that extracts URLs from chat export files, organizes them into folders, and adds AI-generated titles, tags, and summaries. Chat export files are parsed entirely in your browser; the file itself is never uploaded to our servers.

2. Accounts

You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

3. Free Trial

New accounts receive 24 hours of full, card-free access when they first sign in. After that, the app locks until you subscribe. Each subscription plan then begins with a further 2-day free trial that starts when you check out and add a payment method. You are not charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before it ends, your card is automatically charged for the first billing period and the subscription continues. If you cancel during the trial, you keep access until the trial ends and are not charged. Your saved bookmarks are preserved whether or not you subscribe.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

  • Paid plans (Basic and Pro) are offered as monthly or yearly subscriptions. Current prices are shown on our pricing page at checkout time.
  • Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Polar Software Inc. (“Polar”). Your card details are handled by Polar and never reach our servers.
  • After any free trial, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Manage subscription, the billing portal linked in your Polar receipt emails, or by contacting us; access then continues until the end of the period you already paid for.

5. No Refunds

All payments are final and non-refundable, including for partially used billing periods, except where a refund is required by applicable law. Canceling a subscription stops future renewals but does not entitle you to a refund of amounts already paid.

6. Your Content

Your bookmarks are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) on a per-account basis. You retain all rights to the content you save. You are responsible for the links you save and for complying with the terms of the sites they point to. Because bookmarks live in your browser, clearing browser data on a device removes the bookmarks stored on that device.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
  • attempt to probe, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
  • resell or provide the Service to third parties without our written consent;
  • use automated means to access the Service other than its intended interfaces.

8. AI Features

Titles, summaries, tags, search results, and recommendations are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are provided for convenience only and do not constitute advice of any kind.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrendMark and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time by contacting us.

12. Changes

We may modify the Service or these Terms. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law principles.
